Playing the Pentatonic Kalimba by Mark Holdaway

This book explores the unique material accessible to the
11-note Hugh Tracey pentatonic kalimba. There are a few songs
you'll recognize here (the guitar riff from My Girl, Sometimes
I Feel Like a Motherless Child, Amazing Grace, As I Went Down to
the River to Pray), but most of these exercises grow out of the
nature of the pentatonic kalimba itself. We work on chords and scales,
polyrhthmic playing, left-right exercises, and symmetry and shifting
operations that help you generate new riffs. The first half of the
book treats the G major pentatonic kalimba, and the second half treats
the G minor pentatonic tuning. Songs are written in the easy-to-use
kalimba tablature.
